A. Yes, In most cases NOV's (Notice of Violations) are issued even for not renewing an existing permit. Fines can be as extreme as $25,000/day until compliance is reached.

A. The federal and state agencies have inspectors in the field and your worst enemy is the nearby landowners, who love to find out what's going on.
